Coleg Cambria staff and students received a welcome delivery of the latest in surveying equipment from M&P Survey, as the college invests in its Higher National Certificates in Construction and Civil Engineering.
The college, which is one of the UK’s largest colleges in the UK and is based in North East Wales, received the special order at their Bersham Road campus. Such was the expectation for the equipment that a large contingent of staff and students were already waiting for the delivery, keen to get their hands on the latest investment by the college.
Speaking about the investment, Karl Jackson, Deputy Director at Coleg Cambria, said: “At Coleg Cambria we are always looking to invest in emerging and relevant technologies to support our students and enable them to gain relevant and real-world experience by using the latest solutions used in teaching and industry.
“We have used M&P Survey for many years, and Richard and the team have once again delivered to us a solution tailor-made for our teaching requirements and reassuringly backed up by a level of service and support that is invaluable to an organisation like ourselves.”
The investment, which includes four Leica Flexline TS06plus total stations, complete with traverse kits, will enable the students to gain new skills and use industry-leading technologies as part of the surveying module of their courses.
Richard Lunt, Commercial Director at M&P Survey, said: “We have a long standing relationship with Coleg Cambria and are proud to continue to support them in their delivery of quality, innovative and industry-relevant educational courses.
“We know the students will enjoy learning on the TS06’s; they’re a great piece of kit for teaching the fundamental principles of surveying and engineering and will give them a great insight into the equipment used in the industries they wish to progress in.”
