The total station models the module can currently be installed to include the Leica TS03, TS07, TS10, TS13 and TS16. If a thief attempts to remove it, the instrument will automatically shut down and require a Leica-approved workshop to reactivate it.
The module can now also be installed to Leica iCON total stations including the iCB50, iCB70, iCR70, iCR80, iCR80S and iCT30.
LOC8 gives the user the ability to lock and unlock the instrument remotely with a single click from a mobile phone or PC regardless of whether it is switched on or off.
The module has precise tracking capabilities that allow you to locate and track your instruments to within five metres, including a travel history available up to 365 days.
You also have the option to set up ‘geo fences’ around the site your equipment is being used on. If the LOC8 module leaves the specified area, you will be notified by email or push notification.
Other features such as motion and speed alarms can also be enabled and disabled at any time. This provides an additional level of notification.
