On Wednesday 17th April, staff from M&P Survey Equipment stopped by at cerebral palsy charity Stick ‘n’ Step’s Runcorn centre.
Earlier in the year, M&P nominated Stick ‘n’ Step as their charity of choice for 2019, meaning they will benefit from all of the survey equipment supplier’s fundraising initiatives throughout the year.
Sales Co-ordinator Sam Vaughan and Hire Administrator Molly Ramsay, who are responsible for organising fundraising activities in aid of Stick ‘n’ Step, visited the centre along with Sales and Operations Director Richard Lunt.
The M&P staff were impressed by the fantastic work Stick ‘n’ Step do in Runcorn and appreciated the opportunity to meet the children suffering from cerebral palsy who benefit from the generosity of donors.
Sam said: “Seeing first-hand the impact of the work Stick ‘n’ Step do was very moving. The fact they are able to aid the children’s development and make such a massive difference to their lives is made even more incredible when you realise that their work is funded entirely through donations.”
Molly added: “Visiting Stick ‘n’ Step was one of the most eye-opening experiences I’ve had in more ways than one. The centre is an incredible place with the most caring and dedicated staff.
“It’s a wonderful thing they do there. I really hope we can raise as much money as possible to help the best we can and relay the message I took away to everyone. Our help is crucial, and I hope we can make them proud to be in this community. I’ll always support their charity from now on and take away with me the impact it really has on each child’s life.”
Richard said: “It was a truly enlightening visit to M&P’s chosen charity. A big thank you to Kerry and the team for educating us on the day to day challenges families in our local communities face when living with Cerebral Palsy.
“The dedication and commitment from the team at Stick ‘n’ Step is remarkable. Not only do they provide a positive and nurturing environment for development and achievement through conductive education, but they also offer a support network for the children and families and raise much-needed funds to ensure that this organisation continues to provide the care and support it set out to back in 2002.
“Run purely on grants, donations and sponsorship, this is an incredible team of committed people passionate about making a positive difference and a team which we are very much proud to support.”
As an independent registered charity, Stick ‘n’ Step receives 100% of its funding from the generous donations of local people, businesses and trusts. They work with over 90 children and families across North West England and North Wales each week at a cost of £4,500 per child per year.
